How Dock works.

Dock connects your online store directly to Solopress production, taking care of everything from product configuration and artwork through to printing and fulfilment.

Connect your store

Connect Dock to your store using the Shopify app, WooCommerce plugin or Dock widget for your own website. Simply enter your Dock account credentials and you're ready to get started.

Merchandise your products

Choose from a pre-built catalogue of Solopress products and add the ones you want to sell directly to your store. All the product configuration is already done for you — simply choose your products, set your margin and publish.

No building products from scratch. No complicated setup.

Sell — and let the orders flow

Your customers configure their print, see live prices, upload their artwork and pay through your usual checkout. Our built-in artwork checker reviews their files before they reach production.

Once an order is paid, it flows automatically to Solopress for printing and fulfilment, with status updates keeping you and your customers informed throughout the journey.

The life of an order.

Configure Pay at your checkout Artwork check Quick review Production at Solopress Dispatched, tracking posted back

Uploaded artwork is checked and made print-ready before production, and every order gets a quick review before it's released. When it ships, a fulfilment with tracking is created automatically and the status lands back on the order.

Free to use.
You only pay for the print.

There are no subscription fees, installation fees, usage charges or commission. Dock displays your agreed cost of goods live within the configurator. You decide the retail price your customers pay, while Solopress simply bills you for the production cost.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need a developer?

That depends on how your website is built. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations are plug-and-play, with most stores ready to sell in as little as 20 minutes.

For custom websites, Dock is embedded using a simple two-line code snippet. A small server-side integration is required to convert customer baskets into print orders, making it significantly simpler than a traditional API integration.

When am I charged?

When a paid order is released to production — after its quick review. The cost of goods is quoted live in the configurator before your customer checks out, so you always know what you'll pay.

What happens to the rest of my catalogue?

Nothing. The configurator stays invisible on your own products, and the buy-button guards leave them untouched.

Who checks the artwork?

Dock does, by default. Every uploaded file is checked and made print-ready before production — sized to the product's spec, RGB colours converted to CMYK — with unreadable files held rather than printed. Prefer your own prepress? We can set your account to bypass, and your process stays in control.
