Sell print from your WooCommerce store.

The Dock plugin adds a print configurator directly to your WooCommerce product pages, making it easy to sell professional print through your existing store.

Customers choose their print options, see live prices and upload their artwork directly on the product page. Once configured, the product is added to their WooCommerce basket at the quoted price and they pay through your normal checkout and payment gateway.

From there, Solopress takes care of printing and fulfilment behind the scenes, with production and order status updates sent back to your WooCommerce order automatically.

What you'll need.

A compatible WooCommerce setup — WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 8.2+ with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) enabled, and PHP 8.1+.

A Dock account — we'll provision this during onboarding. Book a demo and we'll get everything set up with you.

Your Dock credentials — Tenant ID, Widget API Key and Server Secret. You'll find all three ready to copy from your Dock account.

Your existing WooCommerce payment gateway — customers continue to pay through your normal checkout and payment provider, exactly as they do today.

Setup, step by step.

Upload the plugin, connect, import and start selling.

Install the plugin

Download the Dock plugin ZIP file. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then install and activate it.

Connect WooCommerce to Dock

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Integration → Dock and enter your Tenant ID, Widget API key and Server secret.

Save your changes, then use Test connection — both its checks, Connected and Server secret OK, should pass before you start taking orders.

Set up status updates

The plugin generates a webhook URL for your store.

Copy this into Dock → Settings → Webhooks, then paste the generated webhook secret back into the plugin. This connection allows production and order status updates from Dock to flow back into WooCommerce automatically.

Import and publish your products

Go to WooCommerce → Dock Import to create draft products from the products merchandised in your Dock catalogue.

Review the drafts, make any changes you need, then publish the products you want to sell. Add the Dock Configurator block or shortcode to each product page so customers can configure their print options.

Start taking orders

Customers configure their products and pay through your existing WooCommerce checkout and payment gateway as normal.

When an order reaches Processing, the configured Dock items are sent for review and production. Status updates are then posted back to the WooCommerce order, keeping everything in sync.

What your customers see

Your store. Your theme. Your checkout.

To your customers, it's simply another product page in your WooCommerce store. Dock's configurator sits within your existing theme, giving them everything they need to configure and order their print.

Customers choose their size, stock, finish and quantity, with the price updating live as they make their selections. They upload their artwork directly on the page, add the configured product to their basket at the quoted price, and pay through your normal WooCommerce checkout and payment gateway.

Before the order reaches production, the uploaded artwork passes through Dock's built-in artwork checker, helping ensure files are correctly sized and colours are converted to print-ready CMYK.

The whole buying experience stays within your store, under your brand.

Frequently asked questions.

What do I need to run Dock?

You'll need WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 8.2+ with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS), and PHP 8.1+.

The Dock plugin is supplied as a ZIP file that you upload directly through WordPress admin, so it doesn't need to be listed in the WordPress.org plugin directory.

Who takes the payment?

You do. Customers pay through your existing WooCommerce payment gateway — whether that's Stripe, PayPal, WooPayments or another provider you already use.

Dock never sits between you and your customer's payment.

When does an order reach production?

When a WooCommerce order reaches Processing — which usually happens after successful payment — the configured Dock products are submitted automatically.

New orders then pass through a review stage in Dock before they're released to production, so nothing is sent straight to print.

What happens if an order fails to submit?

If there's a problem, the WooCommerce order is placed on hold, with an order note explaining what went wrong.

Once the issue has been resolved, you can use Resubmit to Dock from the order to try again. Any issues identified during the artwork check are also added to the order notes.

Will Dock affect my other products?

No. Dock only applies to the products you've imported from Dock and chosen to publish.

The rest of your WooCommerce catalogue and existing products remain untouched.

What does it cost?

The Dock plugin and platform are free to use — there are no subscription, installation or usage fees, and no commission.

You set the retail prices your customers pay, while you pay Solopress the agreed cost of goods when an order goes into production. The difference is yours.
